Guy who hard landed at Banning airport had $500k, 32 jars of cannabis oil on board, say authorities

Court documents show that a Corona man who made a hard landing at Banning Municipal Airport last week nearly $500,000 in cash and 32 jars of concentrated cannabis oil in his plane.

Alex Michael Furman landed his Cessna 210 so hard on the afternoon of April 24 that it hit a fence and tipping onto its nose, reports City News Service. Furman was not injured in the crash and was arrested a short time after.

Furman, 24, is charged with a felony count of possessing more than $100,000 worth of money obtained from the sale and transportation or manufacture of a controlled substance, notes the Press Enterprise.  He also is charged with two misdemeanors: possessing and transporting marijuana for sale.

He has pleaded not guilty.
