The home of Subway spokeman Jared Fogle was raided on Tuesday morning by federal authorities as part of a child pornography investigation.

The raid follows the arrest early in the year of Russell Taylor – who was the director of Fogle’s charity. Taylor was accused of possessing and producing child pornography, according to Fox59 News.

Investigators claimed to have found more than 500 videos with images of child pornography in Taylor’s home and he was removed from his position. In May, Taylor unsuccessfully attempted suicide while he was in jail.

As for the raid on Fogle’s home, TMZ obtained the criminal complaint against Taylor which may have some answers:

We’ve obtained the criminal complaint against Taylor … and it says police recovered a 4 GB thumb drive and his employer, the Jared Foundation, was listed in a file name. Inside that file was a folder labeled, “Good stuff.” Cops found a bunch of child pornography in that folder.

Since Taylor mixed work files with child porn … it could explain why the FBI is searching Fogle’s home. Jared himself, is not mentioned in the docs police found at Taylor’s home office.

17 years ago, Fogle dropped almost 250 pounds by eating Subway and became the company’s spokesman.  In 2013, The New York Daily News reported Fogle was worth an esitmated $15 million dollars.
