A Desert Hot Springs man, who had his truck stolen on Wednesday and recovered early Thursday morning, saw that same truck stolen again just a few hours later.

The truck was first stolen on Mesquite Avenue on Wednesday evening, reports KMIR. It was then recovered abandoned at 3 am Thursday at an undisclosed location. The truck was then stolen a second time less than four hours after it was recovered.

While the cops were taking the second report, an officer spotted the truck driving in the area of 6th Street and Cactus Drive. After a short pursuit, the suspect lost control of the truck, hit a palm tree, and flipped it. He then ran away, but was caught after brief pursuit on foot.
