Dallas Cowboys Fan Robs Palm Springs Bank: Police

Police are looking for a man decked out in Dallas Cowboys gear who robbed a Palm Springs bank on Friday afternoon.

Palm Springs Police were alerted to a bank robbery at the Chase Bank inside of Stater Bros. on East Vista Chino in Palm Springs at 12:23pm. According to the cops, the suspect waited in line, approached a teller, demanded money, and threatened the teller that he had an explosive device. The suspect left the “explosive device” at the bank after receiving an undisclosed amount of money and left the scene before the cops arrived.

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Hazardous Device Team evacuated the building and determined the device was in fact not explosive.

The suspect was described as a black male adult, wearing dark jeans, a blue “Dallas Cowboys” t-shirt, and a blue “Dallas Cowboys” ball cap. Anyone with info is asked to call The PSPD at 760-323-8116 or Valley Crime Stoppers at 760-341-STOP (7867).
