Coachella Day 2: This is how you festival like a boss

You know who is having the best, most relaxing, chillest time at Coachella? People who brought one of these things.

I caught this music fan kicking back on her inflatable canoe / couch thing during Two Door Cinema Club. As I stood there – ON MY FEET! – I could not help but be a bit jealous of her lounging in the middle of the field. Sure, items like this get us one step closer to Wall-E…

But, I don’t care. It looks cozy, dammit! And it only costs what a burger and a couple of beers do at the festival. (BTW, you can see more about it here if you want one too.)

Some other notes from Day Two, Weekend Two:

  • Skrillex made a surprise appearance.
  • There are very few moments in life as soothing as that moment in the evening when the sun goes behind the mountains on a 100+ degree day and you can finally emerge from the shadows…literally.
  • I was glad to see the festival was safe from Rita Repulsa and the Putty Patrol…

  • Bon Iver is not for everyone.

  • I really enjoyed Bastille, the aforementioned Two Door Cinema Club, Future, and Gaga’s set had a lot of energy (even though I didn’t because it did not start until 5 am…ok, it was 11:30 pm, but it felt like 5am.)
  • There was a even a March for Science at Coachella:

  • The art installations this year are huge!  Which not only looks cool, but helps spread big pockets of shade during the hot afternoon – which is very popular with the crowd.  This leads me to what I think could be the greatest art installation ever.  This thing:

Mr. Burns was way head of his time.

  • I heard the secret tiki bar was even more packed than Friday as the secret is clearly out.  I am wondering if there is an even more secret tiki bar that no one has yet heard about.  One that is so hidden that the staff has just been sitting there bored off their asses with not a single customer entering the entire week.

Anyway.  That’s my recap for Day Two.  Cheers!
