You can explore the Living Desert (with a cocktail!) on Saturday nights in September

(Living Desert)

Safari Nights is coming to the Living Desert Zoo and Gardens.

Every Saturday, the popular Palm Desert attraction will open from 7 to 10 pm allowing you to take in the sights and sounds of the native and exotic animals in the evening. There will be scorpion hunts, astronomy, and bat detector stations, plus live entertainment, food and beverage tastings and, perhaps most important, specialty cocktails will be available for purchase!

“Safari Nights allows our guests to see The Living Desert in a whole new light – the light of the moon,” said Dawn Petrick, The Living Desert’s Director of Park Services. “We invite people of all ages to join the fun.”

In addition to animal activities, the Living Desert will also showcase different themes each week – including movie night, tacos and tequila, and Oktoberfest.

The  first hour of Safari Nights, guests can explore the North American side of the park, with the African section staying open for the remainder of the night.  There will also guided tours of Eagle Canyon that you can pre-register for for $20.

Admission is six bucks for members, $12 for adults, and $8 for kids between 3 and 12. Under 3 are free.
