California couple arrested for allegedly trying to sell their kids for money or drugs

A couple was arrested in Lancaster last week after police say they were trying to sell their two sons for money or drugs.

Vincent Calogero, 38, and Sarah Nilson, 32, were arrested on suspicion of felony child endangerment, child neglect and being under the influence of a controlled substance, reports the LA Times.

The brothers were placed in the custody of the Department of Children and Family Services.

“Deputies contacted the suspects and determined … (they) had been attempting to give and/or sell their children in exchange for money or drugs,” Ali Villalobos of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Lancaster Station told the Daily News.
