A 79-year-old man was struck and killed by a train Saturday evening in Cabazon.
Angel Fuentes was hit by the train about 60 feet east of the intersection of Broadway and Main at about 5:42 pm, reports the Press Enterprise. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials from Union Pacific Railroad said the man was attempting to cross the tracks in an area that wasn’t designated for crossing.
